Not just any nonstick, this finish is Quantanium, high quality, long finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little or no oil is needed for cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and lower medium heat is recommended, along with metal utensils. A core of aluminum encapsulated in base conducts heat quickly and evenly without hot spots. All lids are break-resistant glass, and the handles are stainless steel, riveted for strength. Each piece is oven to 500 degrees F and dishwasher safe. This set of 12 pieces in common use
